The key areas that we are exploring together are 3D digital simulation in aerodynamics and hydrodynamics. ALTEN is also supporting us in our wind tunnel and sea trials. In particular, we are analyzing very high-speed phenomena to understand the natural mechanisms that enable us to “go through” the water element. The studies also focus on on-board measurement chains and their “frugal” use. A major focus for us is ecodesign based on research into low-footprint materials and high-level partnerships (industrial and academic research), and modern tools for assessing the environmental impact of the solutions studied, even before they are prototyped. Biomimicry is an integral part of the solution resources for our scientists.

The BECHTLE Group has joined us in 2025
as a ZEPHIR PROJECT “PRIVILEGE” Partner
The Bechtle Group is a German group founded in 1983, which has become the European leader in the supply of IT equipment for businesses (computers, smartphones, tablets, printers, servers, etc.) and related services (business software, workplace, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, etc.). The partnership is led by France, with its operational entities on French soil Inmac Wstore, Bechtle Comsoft, Bechtle Direct France and Apixit.
By becoming an official partner of Zephir Project in 2025 through its operational entities in France, the BECHTLE Group (16,000 people / €8 billion in 2024 / info here) brings us its know-how in all these areas.
We need equipment such as on-board smartphones, tablets and powerful computers for local computing (thanks to Inmac Wstore), software and secure workspace with Bechtle Comsoft, Bechtle Direct France. Thanks to these high-level and complementary companies, thanks to their #OnePortfolio offer, we will be able to guarantee a high-performance infrastructure to support the digital simulations of our other partners such as ALTEN or BPCE Solutions informatiques, as well as the protection of our data / cybersecurity with Apixit to protect our innovations.

May 2025, we are honored to announce that ANSYS, global leader in industrial design and digital simulation software, is joining the ZEPHIR PROJECT ecosystem!
The ANSYS software suite has become a benchmark in the industry. In France, ADDL, one of its distribution partners, enabled us to establish a major partnership, thanks to their startup support program.
This American group (approximately 5,000 employees / $2.4 billion in revenue in 2024) was acquired in 2025 by the giant SYNOPSYS for $35 billion! Since its creation in 1970, ANSYS has built an increasingly comprehensive ecosystem of digital simulation and industrial design software. Their best-known software, which is of particular interest to us at Zephir Project, includes Ansys Fluent, Ansys Mechanical, Gambit, CFX, LS-DYNA, Granta, SimAI, optiSLang, and Workbench among others.
By becoming official partners of the Zephir Project in 2025, ANSYS and ADDL are providing us with their leading software tools and their expertise in how to use them to their full potential: meshing solutions for high-performance calculations, aerodynamics, hydrodynamics (3D profile performance, two-phase flow, profile optimization, ventilation phenomena, cavitation, etc.), fluid-structure interactions, eco-design, AI model and digital simulation alignment. This is a tremendous boost for all engineers involved in Zephir.
ANSYS solutions are already in use, and the initial results are very promising. Their efficiency is impressive!
We can now combine these powerful calculation tools with the expertise of our engineers and key partners, like Alten Group. We will be able to fully exploit and optimize the computing power required to design future Zephir solutions that are both high-performance and eco-responsible. GAME ON!!!
